[Master’s students] Credit transfer application method

Students may only apply for credit transfers in the semester of admission.

1. Applications must be submitted within two weeks of the enrollment day (see Academic Calendar), and each student may only apply once. Late applications will not be accepted.

2. Please fill out the NCHU Graduate Student Credit Transfer Application (See Notes 1 and 2), affix an original copy of your transcript of academic record (such as credit course certificates and graduate coursework transcripts)

3. To learn more about your coursework requirements at NCHU, please visit the Department of Electrical Engineering’s website (course map) or the NCHU Course Inquiry System, where you can look up courses offered in previous semesters.

4. Ask the instructors for courses you wish to be exempt from to affix their signatures in the “Preliminary reviewer’s signature and opinion” fields, check the appropriate boxes, and fill in the number of credits to be exempt (Note 3), then visit the Department Office to obtain a stamp of approval from the Department Chair. Finally, submit the completed application to the Registrar.

5. Following review by the Registrar, application results will be announced on the Academic Intranet under the “student grades” section in the 10th week of students’ first semester of enrollment. For inquiries, please contact the Registrar at 04-2284 0212.

Note 1: Students who have previously obtained a degree from another institution (graduation with a college or graduate degree, excluding drop-outs) must ask the degree-conferring institution to affix a signature in the “attestation (certification by academic offices of other institutions)” field to attest to the fact that the course credits to be transferred were not included in students’ minimum graduation requirements.

Note 2: Please leave the “course control code” field empty.

Note 3: Students who wish to transfer previously obtained credits must show textbooks or course notes to the NCHU instructor offering the same course for a preliminary review.
